The Coal Valley Equestrian centre is located in the Coal River Valley between Hobart and Richmond. We provide hire of our facilities to individuals, local clubs and organisations. While we are focused on the equestrian market, there are endless uses of our facilities. Please feel free to contact us for further enquiries.

Club/Clinic Hire
Clubs, Organisations or clinic organisers can hire CVEC well in advance by contacting the office.
Packages can be tailored to suit from exclusive use of all facilities down to a more budget ‘shared use’ packages. Please contact for a quote.

DEFINITIONS:
Shared Hire:
Other users are also free to book and ride the arena at the same time. For example; casual users, instructors, other clinicians. Instructors/clinicians are required to use headsets for this reason.
Exclusive Hire:
You reserve full control over who uses the arena for the time booked. Certain activities are required to book exclusive use for the safety of others, i.e. jumping, carriage driving, games, and any activity where there is a risk to other users.
Day Hire Options
Shared Indoor Day Hire is aimed as a budget price for clinics where it does not matter if other riders utilise the arena at the same time. This may include other instructors teaching also. Just like in a competition warm up. All coaches must utilise headsets.
Exclusive Indoor Day Hire includes the use of the amenities and yards. This is mostly aimed for clinics where exclusive use of the indoor is required.
Full Venue Hire also includes the use of the outdoor arena and grass area and is more appropriate for competitions and events.
Jumping
For safety reasons, a responsible non riding person must be present at all times.
About Us
The idea and vision for the Coal Valley Equestrian Centre was established in 2016 after the purchase of the property in Cambridge, Tasmania. While acting as a base for our small Warmblood stud; the ideal location and access to the property inspired us to create a facility that would benefit the local and statewide equine community.
The mission has been to create a top class facility to promote the engagement and improvement of all equine related activities in an inclusive environment. We aim to provide world class facilities to local clubs and groups, without the pressure of everyday upkeep costs. The jewel of the centre is most definitely the 70x30m Ebb and Flow indoor arena, bringing a top class surface to Tasmania. This surface is similar to the surfaces found at such premium centres like the Sydney International Equestrian Centre and Willinga Park.
As well as the indoor arena, we have added functional amenities to improve the experience of hiring the centre. A shower for convenience if you are riding before work or staying overnight at an event. Accessible toilets that can be accessed from inside or outside the centre. A canteen facility attached to a ‘riders lounge’. As well as a multi-purpose room that can be utilised for education, meetings, sponsors, administration, or simply as a heated spectators area.
CVEC welcomes horses and riders from all areas and of all abilities. CVEC has been built to public building accessible standards with disability car-parking, access, toilets and fire codes. CVEC is purely a facility for hire and does not provide horses or lessons; however accredited coaches are more than welcome to base their lessons here.
